County Broadband Survey and Census 2020

The Eau Claire County Broadband Committee is offering a Broadband Survey to obtain information about broadband service in the County. The survey results may be used as supporting documentation for Public Service Commission Broadband Expansion Grants, which are designed to support public-private partnerships that extend broadband/internet access to locations that are unserved or underserved.

The online survey may be taken as many times as you wish and will only take a few minutes to complete. Please take the survey while connected to the primary internet service at your home or business in Eau Claire County.

If using a mobile smartphone or tablet you should be connected to your primary internet service Wi-Fi NOT your cellular data plan.
Follow this link to the survey or copy and paste the broadband survey URL address into your internet browser:

In the event your property is unserved by broadband, please contact Clerk Jen Meyer at 715-878-4645 or to request a paper survey be mailed or emailed to you and then remit to the address on the survey. Copies of the paper survey will also be available at the Town Hall on Election Day.

Census 2020

2020 Census

Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley are growing, and the 2020 Census is essential for our continued success in the next decade. Our goal is for each and every person living in Eau Claire County to be counted!

Everyone Counts

Every household will receive a census form by April 1, 2020. The Census will be easy and quick to complete – either online or on paper – and help is available if needed.

Although the Census Bureau is preparing for the census, they can’t do this without the help of local partners such as Eau Claire County, businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, colleges, school districts and the media. We’re committed to a complete and accurate count of all Eau Claire County residents because EVERYONE COUNTS!
